I want to know how and where you can have your own site but have a business giving domains to other people. For example like how justhost.com charges you to go through them, how could you be the one that charges people. What do i have to do?
Chosen Answer:
For domains, contact ICANN.
Becoming a web hoster? That’s very hard. You need very high upload speed, like 1,000,000 Mbps. Then you need a company to put the stuff online. It’s also good to have Microsoft Server 2003 or 2008.

If you want to host the sites then you would need a mass amount of servers in order to run web server software as well as any other software required by your clients. It would be the same way as setting up a business on the legal side. As for becoming a domain registrar, which is a person who sells the actually domain names you have to do the following
ICANN (Internet Corporation For Assigned Names and Numbers) coordinates domain name registration. If you wanted to become a registrar you would first have to be accredited by ICANN. Check their website for more information: http://www.icann.org
This page describes the accreditation process:
http://www.icann.org/registrars/accr…on-process.htm
There is a non-refundable US $2,500 application fee.
Contract with your provider for a WIDE connection business (100mbps or more).
Buy a generator large enough to run everything – computers, lights, air conditioning, coffee pots, refrigerators – and a LARGE fuel tank. Have it wired to start automatically on power failure. Contract with a fuel delivery company for 24/7/365 “within an hour” emergency delivery service.
Buy a UPS large enough to run everything (including the air conditioning) for at least 15 minutes.
Contract for off-site data storage (someone like Iron Mountain).
Hire a tech support staff – you’ll need 24/7/365 coverage by technical people, not “administrative assistants” reading scripts. Be prepared for the salary expense.
If you haven’t caught on yet, it boils down to “get enough money that the floor is in danger of collapsing” if you want to stay in business past your first disaster.
