VMware- I need another host to step in and take the place of a failed host except it cant run the same VM How?

Alright so I have VMWare and two host machines, the network and a central system running VSphere. Can I set it up so that if the first host fails the second one is started? I just want the second one to start, not running the same virtual machine, and take the place of the first one. Is this possible and how do I set it up.
